Announcement

Dear Community Members,

Assalamu-Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullah Wa-Barakatu,

ISGVF reiterates the imperative to hold in esteem the Houses of Allah (SWT), maintain devotion, and worship Allah (SWT) therein while observing the sanctity of life and all necessary medical precautions for its protection. Taking into account the current guidelines issued by the State and County health officials, ISGVF is taking the following steps with approval from our Imam.

Effective immediately, the ISGVF Masjid is closed until further notice.

There will be no daily congregational prayers, Friday prayers, classes or programs at ISGVF at this time.

ISGVF will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation prior to reopening the Masjid and will communicate accordingly.

We encourage the community to use extreme caution when considering group gatherings or activities. Everyone has a social responsibility to keep our community safe and healthy.

May Allah (SWT) protect all of our families during this difficult time and increase our Emaan and forgiveness.

Jazakum Allah Khairun,

ISGVF Executive Council

Message from our Imam

I recommend you all to stay in your homes and only leave for necessary and urgent purposes. Stay with your family and avoid social interaction in order to prevent spreading the virus to others. Even though you may be young and healthy you can help the community by staying home which will prevent the virus from spreading to people with weak immune systems and may not be able to survive this pandemic. Also practice washing your hands regularly. Read the last 2 ayahs of surah Al-Baqarah every night before bed. According to a hadith you should have 7 dates (as said in the hadith) every morning or an odd number of dates. Repent to Allah (swt) and be ready at any moment to return to Allah (swt) I also suggest you all say this dua to help protect yourself and others around you from this disease:

اللهم اني اعوذ بك من البرص والجنون والجذام ومن سيئ الاسقام

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis, and evil diseases.

Ayah 4 surah Al-Maeda Allah (swt) he permitted the good and halal food for us and to stay away from haram and harmful foods. And the Prophet (pbuh) said to avoid eating animals with sharp teeth.

Allah (swt) says in the Quran do not destroy yourself and do not kill yourselves.

Authentic Hadith narrated by Ayesha(ra) Prophet (pbuh) answered her when she asked about the epidemic: Its a punishment Allah (swt) sent to whom he wants and it’s mercy for the believers and if anyone is affected by it he has to stay in the area he’s in with patience believing his reward will come from Allah and nothing will harm him except for what Allah decided for him. He will get the same reward as a shaheed. narrated by Bukhari

According to the hadith narrated by Muslim and Abu Hurayrah: The people must be separated between the separated and the healthy.
